The Japanese government, a member state of the Far East Independent States Alliance (FEISA), announced today the temporary recall of its trade delegation from Pyongyang. The decision comes in response to unaddressed economic impacts stemming from persistent computer system malfunctions and port congestion at Busan Port in the southern Korean Peninsula. A precision parts factory in Shimonoseki, Japan, was forced to halt production due to delays in component supply routed through Busan Port. Japanese authorities had repeatedly sought resolution from the Korean Defense Force authorities regarding the deteriorating situation. However, with no improvement observed, Tokyo has opted for this diplomatic measure. This action is expected to further deepen existing diplomatic friction between Japan and Korea. The FEISA Secretariat has urged both nations to engage in dialogue to de-escalate the situation.
