This prompted strong protests from traditionalist residents gathered in the square, who denounced the anomaly as an 'act of computer blasphemy' and demanded the system's immediate shutdown. Members of a youth group responsible for maintaining the system countered these demands, leading to verbal altercations that escalated into a minor physical confrontation. Security forces intervened, and several residents were temporarily detained. No serious injuries have been reported.
