MOSCOW – The Soviet Union's Central Bureau for Agricultural Administration today announced a temporary delay in the supply of agricultural machinery parts to a specific agricultural region within the country. The incident was attributed to a human error during data input into the State Automated System (
OGAS). This delay affected minor repair work on tractors and harvesters at several state farms in the Almavir District of the Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic, causing a standstill for several hours. According to the Central Bureau's statement, OGAS promptly detected the anomaly and recalculated data, rectifying the supply plan within hours, thereby averting any severe impact on production activities. The statement emphasized that OGAS consistently provides optimal solutions, and this incident constituted a minor operational oversight. A detailed investigation into the cause and measures for preventing recurrence are currently underway. This event highlights the persistent human element within OGAS's comprehensive control, indicating that it cannot be entirely eliminated.
