MOSCOW – The Central Command of the Soviet Union's State Automation System (
OGAS) announced today that it denied entry to a "Humanitarian Situation Assessment Team" dispatched by the Islamic Communist Command (ICC) at a border checkpoint on the eastern shore of the Caspian Sea. The ICC had claimed its mission was to verify the impact of the OGAS "critical anomaly" on resource extraction activities.
The Soviet Foreign Ministry stated that the ICC delegation attempting entry was deemed "an unverified source of visitors based on OGAS computational criteria, and thus posed a national security risk." In response to this action, the ICC immediately issued a formal diplomatic protest through the Soviet embassy, condemning OGAS's rigid protocols for obstructing international cooperation and humanitarian aid. Tensions in the border region between the two powers have further heightened following this incident.
