Intercepted transmissions, according to this wire service, primarily feature messages advocating SAU's "socialist solidarity," with a focused distribution towards Zhanjiang, a major port city in Southern China known for reported material shortages and external information inflow. China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs today issued a strongly worded protest statement against SAU's unilateral actions. The statement condemned the shortwave broadcasts as "malicious ideological penetration" and "information terrorism," demanding their immediate cessation. Beijing authorities accused the SAU of deliberately attempting to destabilize domestic tranquility. For China, which maintains strict information control via its closed computational network, unauthorized external radio interference is considered a matter of grave concern. The SAU has previously and openly criticized the vulnerabilities of China's closed computational network and its failures in information control.
