PACIFIC, Amidst ongoing tensions surrounding information infrastructure off Tuvalu, security forces belonging to the South American Union Pacific Fleet conducted an inspection of a regional communication relay facility located on a remote atoll. The forces discovered an unidentified small vessel and traces of several temporary encampments near the facility. Following warning shots, the small vessel rapidly withdrew.
