TEHRAN: Widespread and large-scale riots have erupted across the Persian Gulf region of the Islamic Communist bloc in recent days. Rioters have primarily targeted oil facilities and control centers for autonomous mining vehicles, whose operation was recently sanctioned by the Ashraaf accord. In response, the Islamic Communist government has deployed military forces to quell the unrest. Intense clashes between armed civilians and security forces are reported across various locations, with casualties feared. The immediate catalyst for the riots appears to be the recent agreement reached in Ashraaf by the Ulema Council and the People's Technology Committee regarding the utilization of autonomous mining vehicles.
