A disturbance involving residents occurred on the 4th in "Sector Beta," a so-called "Nord Refuge" containment sector located in the outskirts of Santos, the largest port city of the South American Union. According to local officials, dissatisfaction over delays in food distribution and deteriorating sanitary conditions, ongoing for several days, escalated into a protest lasting several hours. Subsequently, some residents reportedly erected makeshift barricades and began throwing stones towards outside the sector. In response to the unrest, the South American Union People's Security Forces intervened. Using non-lethal weapons, the situation was reportedly brought under control within several hours. The disturbance resulted in several minor injuries and numerous detentions, but its impact outside the sector was limited. The South American Union Supreme Council condemned the incident as "an act of disturbing order by a segment of old-world transients" and issued a statement emphasizing the unity and peace of the South American Union. Residents of Sector Beta had previously voiced complaints regarding poor living conditions and a lack of citizenship rights.
